Sixxes Basic Info
 
The Field
The playing surface is a maximum 40 yards wide and 80 yards long with ten-yard end zones. The field is broken into four "zones" of 20 yards each.
The Equipment
The official football is the Official IWFL football.
The Players and Formations
Six players on the field; 8-woman roster minimum. 15-woman roster maximum.
Three (3) offensive players must line up on the line of scrimmage.
The ball can only be advanced past the line of scrimmage if an exchange is made after the snap from center.
Timing
Four 10-minute quarters. 25 second play clock.
Each team is allowed two (2) timeouts per period. 2-minute breaks between quarters.
Movement of the Ball and Scoring
Four (4) downs are allowed to advance the ball to the next zone line or to score.
Six (6) points for a touchdown.
One (1) point for a conversion by running or passing the ball into the end zone.
Two (2) points for a safety.
Kicking
Kickoffs are from the 20 yard line.
On fourth down, a team may go for a first down, touchdown, or punt. (There is no field goal kicking as goal posts are not used.)
Passing
Passing rules in Sixxes Football are the same as IWFL Football in which receivers must have one foot inbound.
Overtime Rules
The Sixxes Football Division will follow IWFL overtime rules.

Coaches
Most start up teams have volunteer coaches.

Note: These are only estimates and do not include travel, field rentals, etc. Remember, you can start with less and build up your inventory of field and practice gear when you can afford it.
